Voting Question: how to get a horse to be…?
Alright so I am asking tons of questions today lol I have been riding for about a year now on my 9 year old ArabXMorgan and we are learning barrels (just started about a week ago at the most) I’m doing a ton of research and trying to get as many opinions as I can. I ride using a snaffle bit to build good hands on me and a good mouth on my horse, and I don’t want to change that but what would be the benefits if i did and what bit would be best?? Also, I have been watching videos on barrel racing videos and it seems like their horses just want to run and run and are so excited to leave the gate!! how do i get my horse to be like that and just want to run?! I’m only 14 so i can’t really offord to buy a new horse yet, my grandmother breeds paint horses and every once in awhile one has some hott blood in it but not very often, but I don’t think im ready for a handful horse yet. I think if i really pushed my horse to his limit he would be fast and with some training he defiantly has great potential. I live in a very little town so bye no means am i looking to go to state or anything (it would be nice though lol) So if you have any advice or tips that would be amazing!!! =) thank you
